Yet another Sunday walk to Steveston.

Today Madeleine decided that she was going to take a walk to Steveston, and come hell or high water that was what was going to happen.

The adventure begins.
At first it looked like there was no way that we were going to make it all the was to our destination, as M seemed like she was more interested in sitting than in going anywhere.

Exhibit "A"

Exhibit "B".

But after the promise of a Starbucks hot chocolate and the shedding of a few layers, she had a head of steam and ain't nothing gonna break her stride.

Ain't nothing gonna slow her down.Well, except maybe a few ducks.
And photo-ops.

I'll tell you, she's exhausting.

Special Guest Blogger

As you know, this blog is the exclusive property of Mr Burns and ordinarily there are zero exceptions. But, Madeleine has been begging forever to show the world what she can do with her new camera. A little bacon helped to grease the wheels and so for one night only I'm turning the reigns over to Miss Madeleine, and without any further ado, here she is.

I tricycle.
Annou, Opa.
Mr Burns, silly dog.
Mr Burns sleeping, shhhhh.
Nana Papa Nana Papa Nana Papppa, good man.
Hockey game.
Boo-boo, Aaron, just Boo-boo outside.
Table.
Papa, patio.

Annou drinking tea.
Madeleine Daddy.

Sunday Stroll

Today was largely uneventful. We all went for a walk and I took a couple of nice shots of the Baby M.

Random Madeleine fact: she speaks chicken. In this clip, she is told a joke and apparently finds it to be very funny. I asked what it was and she began saying something about a chicken and a road, but cracked up before she got to the punchline.

Around the (Old) House

So the past month or so has been pretty busy for the family. The reason is that we've been trying to sell our house. For those of you who have never suffered through the experience, let me tell you it is the worst! Every free moment is spent keeping your place presentable, which can be a challenge with a 2 year old and 2 messy parents (I of course never messed anything up). Further, people can tell you to leave your dwelling at any moment and then come traipsing around your space like it were their own. The good news is we sold our quaint little place and come late June, are moving on up... The really good news is that we now have some free time to laze about. Here is a day or two in the life of my not-so-little sister.

Sitting.
Searching.
Driving.
Photographing.
Solving.
Thinking.

Wedding

There has been a lot of exciting things happening recently. Let me get you up to speed.

First off, the nine year old jalopy computer is history, replaced by a brand spanking new iMac! That means new blog entries a plenty. No excuses now.
Second, there are a whole lot of guests visiting from Newfoundland. Here's Minnie with her Nana and great aunts.
Madeleine shares a joke with Lorna.
With her monkey and Joanne and Craig.
The extended family was in town for Uncle Aaron's wedding, for which Madeleine played the role of flower girl.
With the Best Man, Gavin.
With her Papa.

Mama, Uncle Aaron and Daddy at Queen Elizabeth Park.
Cutest flower girl of all time? No doubt!
Getting some love from Mama.
The family (minus yours truly).
Congratulations Aaron and Penny!
