10 Months and Counting.

Madeleine blows out the candles on her delicious 10 month birthday cake, with a wee bit of help from her mother. Pa(w) and Nana with Baby M.

Stop the press! I can see the headline now, "Fantastic Basset Hound Catches Man Growing One Foot in One Second on Film!" Pulitzer here I come!
How strange, I never got presents at monthly intervals. What gives?

With Opa.
Although it may be unwise to overload my loyal viewers with ANOTHER cute Madeleine outfit. This trio of pictures was simply just too sweet not to post, so enjoy!

Visits galore & great moments in history

Grandma and Opa are here for a sabbatical. The major bonus of which is that they will be spending more time with the Baby M!

Welcome, but remember, while Madeleine might be cute, please don't forget about a humble Burns-man; I like bacon and things that squeak. Provision of said items might help to encourage more frequent blog postings.
Lynn and Doug also stopped by for a wee visit while en route from Newfoundland to Australia.
Christmas may be over, but Madeleine is just getting warmed up. She's already set for her first Valentine's Day.
Thank the Lord.
A sweet shot of the super terrific Steveston baby club. Happy 1st Birthday, Andrew!

Your tips are needed.

There has been a massive epidemic of sock larceny going on in our house recently. The only clues left behind by the criminal mastermind are these inconclusive video surveillance stills. If you recognize this handsome culprit, please phone your local law enforcement authorities immediately.
Here's an exclusive look at Madeleine's first effort at making art. I think that it's supposed to be the back end of a horse. There are currently exhibition offers from the Louvre, the Tate Modern and the National Gallery of Canada. Madeleine is consulting with her agent. More to follow.
Baby Madeleine says: "Hey can't you read? Check out the shirt!"
"That's better"Dad and Madeleine. Who looks like they've been getting the better night's sleep?
Madeleine does the safety dance!
Madeleine has acquired yet another valuable life skill: peek-a-boo.

What's New?

Now that Madeleine is almost double digits old (in months), I told her that it was high time that she learned how to swim. So off to Watermania for some lessons.
Editor's note. "mania" is without question my favourite suffix. Think of all the awesome things that use it: Beatlemania, Wrestlemania, Tazmania etc... - Mr BWhat a cute bathing suit! And the one Madeleine is wearing ain't too shabby either.
Madeleine is very buoyant.Green overall alert!
Gotta support the team. Even when they lose at home, again. Please vote on new survey!
The big news is that there's been another addition to the family. Presenting Miss Toby. Now originally I was a bit apprehensive about another elongated canine coming into the abode. But seeing as how she also uses a honourific as her given name, I'll make an exception this time.

Happy New Year!

2009!I, Mr Burns, and my little sister Miss Madeleine would like to wish everybody a very happy new year!
Yup, New Year's Eve was quite the happening affair. Everyone was partying like it was 1999.
Shortly after New Year's, Aunt Sarah came bearing gifts! Sheesh, Baby M's Christmas never ends.
YAAAAH!
In other news, the family went on a field trip to the brand spanking new Richmond Olympic Oval (how d'ja like them apples Burnaby?) for a little speed skating.
Although the building is not quite finished, it is incredibly impressive and really will be the Crown jewel of the 2010 games. Way back when, Mom and Dad signed a roof panel at City Hall, $1,000,000 to any blog reader that can find said panel!
Apparently young Lucas totally digs two things: Elmo and speed skating. So it came as no surprise that he and his parents came for the competition.
In addition to the national speed skating competition, the oval was also hosting the "best Christmas pink wool sweater contest". Presenting the co-gold medal winners: Madeleine and Prairie.
Here's a sweet shot of everyone with Clara Highes, the only Canadian to ever win medals in BOTH the summer and winter Olympics. If you look carefully, you can see that Baby M is practicing using the use of her index finger to indicate "#1". What a girl!
So it's been almost a month of snow now, in protest I opted to refuse to look at the camera for this otherwise nice photo of the family.
Lastly, time for yet another "can you find it" game. This time the question is: can you find the Baby M? Alas, no prize money this time, but surely finding the Baby M is a jackpot it and of itself.
