My baby sister, Madeleine Lana Devlin Reithmeier, arrived at 8:03 AM on Saturday, March 29th (11 days overdue) at BC Women's Hospital in Vancouver, BC. She weighed in at almost 9 pounds 4 ounces, so it took quite a while for my mom to get her out. Luckily, she arrived healthy and quite content with her new surroundings. Here are a few photos of her first 48 hours....Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking the shots. The hospital has a policy about not allowing dogs to visit.
Just born... What a big baby girl!

In the spirit of the season, I sprouted some new ears.I hope that the Easter Bunny was kind to you and brought you lots of treats. I have learned how to get treats all year through by perfecting my pleading look with a long face, droopy eyes and a small amount of uncontrollable drool. Happy Easter!
Working on my blog (just so that you don't think I employ a ghost-writer)....
So yesterday came and went without the arrival of this baby everyone is waiting for. I am still not an older brother. We are getting anxious and hope the baby realizes that we are ready.
March 18th (the "due" date) -a family portrait
So this baby gets its own room. I am a little jealous, as all I have is a bed on the floor in the corner of Mom and Dad's room. I already feel that there may be some discrepancies between the attention, treatment and care of this baby and I will get.
On Saturday, my parents brought me to Garry Point Park to socialize with five other basset hounds. What fun we all had, however, the fun part promptly ended when my parents drove straight to the u-wash dog station at Bosley's for a bath. Apparently, I was too dirty to take home. I guess that can happen when you are running around the sandy beach, in and out of the Fraser, with five rambunctious new friends. Here are some photos and a video of my exciting outing.
An action shot!
You decide: Bassets discussing whether Obama or Hilary will win the democratic party nomination or a game of "who can bark the loudest."
