30 months old

Today Madeleine turned 30 months old. That's half way to 5. That's two and a half. That's 17 or so in dog years. To celebrate, there was cake!
...and a hug for uncle Aaron.
A close up of the triple chocolate cake. Dogs can't eat chocolate. Thanks a lot.

"Happy birthday to me"
Looks good.
Here are a couple of shots of Madeleine in her birthday dress, fresh from Europe thanks to Annou and Opa.

Hugs for Nana and Papa.

Recent Headlines

Some pretty darn exciting things have gone down recently.

Last weekend was the 51st annual Church Country Fair. It was exactly the same as the previous fifty years.

There was the cake walk, we did not win.
There was a hay-ride.
Giddy-up!
Face painting.
Carnival games. Can't wait until next year to do it all over again.
We had vistors from France.
It was nice to see Diana and Ricardo again.

Why is Madeleine so excited?
Because we got to go out for a fancy dinner (Old Spaghetti Factory!)
And last, but certainly not least, was a Sunday trip to some random mall in Surrey for...
Toopy and Binoo!

Trip to the park, photo shoot and other stuff

In anticipation of helping out with her soon-to-be arriving sibling, Baby M recently underwent a baby changing bootcamp.
After that nonsense was over, she sat down for a photo shoot in her sweet pink dress.
Close up.
A little head tilt, just like a pro.
This one is my favourite.
Ready to set what else Madeleine's been up to? Let's roll.
Well there was a trip to the park, so of course there is the mandatory baby in swing picture.
Or pictures.
Another nice sunglasses picture. Those are wicked.
Quiet time with Mom.
To quote the Baby M: "Ride 'em Dinosaur"
In the dog world everyone wants to be a basset hound. It is the perfection of dog. This on the other hand is a face only a mother, or Madeleine, could love.

This is how we spend every night. Swiper no swiping!
To top it all off, yet one more sunglasses picture. These never get dull, do they?

For those poor unfortunate souls who live anywhere other than the Lower Mainland, let me tell you, there is nothing quite like the Labour Day weekend in Vancouver. Time to hit the beach!
All Madeleine's friends were there.
This is a swing fit for a Queen, or Baby M.
