One Year Old!

On Sunday, my little sister turned the "Big 1". Unbelievable.
What an amazing 12 months it has been. There have been many, many amazing pictures that were taken over the past year, but this one might just be my favourite.
Baby M got lots, and lots of amazing presents. This beautiful box from Nan and Pa(w) was one of them.
Sunday morning my parents threw Madaleine a rockin' birthday bash. It was truly the social event of the season. Anybody who was anybody was there.

Birthday cake!!

The guests were far too generous with the gifts for Madeleine. What a lucky girl.
Check out Baby M's sweet wheels.
This gift was absolutely my favourite. Wooden Burnsman!!!
The aftermath!
Baby Madeleine gets to have her cake....
and eat it too.

So long birthday #1. Up next, year #2

Madeleine's Room

So today I took some brief time off from being super annoying to my parents (especially Mom) and took some shots of Madeleine playing in her room.
What a bookworm!
Hmm, Madeleine loves Animals eh?
Yup, she sure loves those animals.Next stop, Calgary Stampede!

Editor's Note: I'm sorry Mom for being such a pest today. Please don't ship me off to Doggy Jail tomorrow! -Mr. B

Unsolved Mystery.

Today was a breathtakingly beautiful day in Vancouver and the perfect opportunity to seek out fame and fortune presented itself: endeavour to solve the great Bigfoot mystery that has perplexed folks round these parts forever.

I figured that just one sweet snapshot of the Mountain Man ought to earn enough dough for a lifetime of snausages, and other delectable treats.
I took this picture before the troop set off on its adventure.
Baby M thinks she's spotted him over there! But by the time I trained my camera on the spot, he was gone.
Looking for clues!
Well unfortunately we didn't find Bigfoot, but at least we got in an awesome day of snowshoeing.

When Irish eyes are smiling...

Earlier this week I gathered Madeleine aside and explained to her the major significance of the 17th of March. Of course, it is most well-known for commemorating the day of the patron Saint of Ireland. He was solely responsible for the expulsion of serpents from Ireland and now provides an excuse to engage in mindless alcohol-fuelled revelry, no matter what day of the week the 17th happens to fall upon. While it is also Uncle Neil's birthday, it is also the day that Mom and Dad met, some nine years ago at Pub O'Chretien.
Pa(w) and Madeleine.
Lots of green.
Grandma and Baby M.
What do you think of my hat?
Check out the hair clips!
Madeleine sings a little Irish ditty.
Today (the 18th) is also an important historical date as it was my sister's due date last year. Here's the family today.
And through the magic of the flux capacitor, we go back in time exactly one year to the same spot.

Everyone, including Madeleine is just about done with winter, bring on the springtime.

Shhhhhhh...

It's the final countdown!

Madeleine has been practicing for her official entry into the great goofy face contest. What do you think about her latest effort?
Here's a nice picture of Mom and Madeleine.
"Pssst, you there, cute baby, I've got something to tell you."
"Your birthday is just around the corner!"
"How old are you going to be? That's right! One year old!"

"Hey no peeking until it's actually your birthday!"
Madeleine you're growing up too fast. Slow down a little please.
