C'est La Vie!

Here's almost the entire family on the Bridge of Avignon. And you know what the people do there right?
Right, they pose for pictures with cute babies.
 Kidding, they dance of course.
More posing on the famous bridge.
 Flat Stanley makes an appearance.

A shadowy and mysterious figure guards the entrance of the Palais des Papes in Avignon.
Madeleine enjoys a moment of repose.
Madeleine is loving the medieval sites.
Mirabelle likes sleeping through the tours of the medieval sites.
 Big M with Opa.
 Big M with Jesus.
 Take a seat.
In the courtyard of the Palais.
They had an old Merry-Go-Round, and by now you all know who loves those right?
 Dad.
 HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
 Feet and pool.
 M & M in Provence style dresses.
Where can I get some croissant?
Dad and M in in random old French town whose name escapes me right now.
Mom and Mirabelle in the Roman Amphitheatre in Arles. The day before they had an old fashioned bull fight here. No kidding.
This is where the people sit. Better for posing methinks.
Outside the coliseum for some lunch.
 More posing in Roman ruins.
Madeleine bows after finishing her soliloquy from the ancient Roman tragedy of Dora Saves the Mermaids.
 Annou and Opa centre stage.
Awake again and this time in a different Provencial outfit.
In the wine fields of the real Chateau-Neuf-Du-Pape.
 Mmm, French chocolate.
Mirabelle is having a great time with here Mom and Dad.

Vive La France

So after a nine hour airplane flight, a horrible four hours at Charles De Gaulle airport (although everyone probably has that experience at that place) and then a three hour train ride, we all arrived safe and sound in the south of France.

So far, we've had some amazing sunny weather as you can see.
 Madeleine in some Roman ruins.
Time for a little sitting on a two thousand year old toilet.
When in Rome, as they say.
 Madeleine on the stage.
 Nice, eh?
 Archaeologist extraordinaire!
All smiles of course. No bribe required.
Mmm, doesn't get more French than outdoor crepes and Coca Cola?
Mirabelle is having a great time on this holiday.
As you can see, she is all smiles, all the time.
My family on a hilltop view at Le Barroux, home of a really old castle.
 M with her grandparents.
 Strike a pose!
 Mirabelle hitching a ride.
 Pretty spectacular, no?
And to think, this was only day two of the visit?
A view of the castle on top of the hill.
 A Madeleine-sized door.

Dad and Mirabelle relaxing outside our little shack.
Mom and Mirabelle catching some rays.
 Day three, winery visit!
Mirabelle enjoyed the behind the scenes tour.
This vineyard had real grape vines!
Here are our red wines to taste.
 Cuteness!
Here is Jean-Louis our loquacious guide.
Ready to ship, but look out, she's fragile.
 Hey, who's that?!
 Grapes on the vine. Nice!
Check back soon for more adventures.

Bon Voyage!

Well this might it for the blog for a little bit because we are outta here!
Recently Mirabelle turned seven months old, and Mom made a pie.
Mirabelle would like to introduce you to her owl.
 Relaxing with Daddy.
 Cooking up something tasty.
A messy but good eater she be.
 Hanging out with Daddy.
 Cutest picture of all time?
 Maybe!
 Definitely!
 Real men.
Actually, this one might be the cutest picture of all time.
 A trio of babies.
A now time for Madeleine to enter the picture. You didn't think there could be a Mr Burns dog blog entry without her did you.
This week she had an awesome play date with Connor.
Head first down the slide. She has no fear.
 Au revoir tout le monde.
