Madeleine's First Trip Abroad.

Here is mom sharing with my sister the news that she is going for a weekend trip to Mt. Baker in the United States. Happiness abounds.

Then mom told her that there were no dogs allowed and I would be spending the weekend in doggy jail. One would think that she would have some sympathy for the abandonment of a Burns-man, but here was her reaction, caught on film. Cheeky!

Mom and Madeleine at the Peace Arch border crossing. Can't you just picture me running around in that nice open field. Sigh...

Near...
far.

Hello, Mr. Burns! You don't know me, but I am a normal, well-adjusted(ish) person (not a crazy internet weirdo) who has a great love of all things adorable. As I was looking at random blogs online, I came across yours it was just TOO cute for me not to send you a message. Maybe you'd get along well with my mom's dog, who also has a short blog (http://thecutestdogintheworld.blogspot.com/). He writes poetry, which you can see on my blog here (http://welikesarah.blogspot.com/2007/03/elvis-has-left-building.html). My boyfriend and I used to live in Vancouver and Seattle respectively, so we've seen the Peace Arch a LOT of times. The lawn there is lovely. I hope my commenting here is not too intrusive- I just wanted to let you know that I think your dog blog is super cute and that I love the writing and sweet photos. =) Cheers! -Sarah
