Trick or Treat.

So anyway, remember during the last post wherein I described for you the ritual of Halloween and the ridiculous nature of this so-called holiday? Well this year certainly takes the cake (and it's not even close to the 31st yet!). On Saturday morning, there was a Growloween on West 4th. This is where all the local proprietors open up their shops and dispense all sorts of treats to the unfortunate canines who were in costume.

No doubt, my parents jumped at the opportunity to embarrass me in public and off we went. Brace yourselves and, if you dare, scroll down to see my costume...
Yup, Hot Dog. You would not believe how many gawkers there were. The pawparazzi were everywhere. I scored many yummy treats so I suppose it was all worth while, in the end. Who do you think that hippopotamus is? You guessed it, it's Madeleine. Pretty cute I think. After the four-legged trick-or-treating in Kits, we were off to the more civilized Steveston for the kids Halloween. My grandparents came along for that adventure. On Sunday, there was more Halloween stuff to do. Off we all went to the local pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin and perhaps, the Great Pumpkin himself. Four moms, four babies and many pumpkins.Everybody smile! Madeleine, no goofy faces! That's better. Well Baby M, which one will it be? Stay tuned for the actual Halloween blog entry, which promises to be quite spooktacular!

By popular demand.
Well, once again the people have spoken. Although the polls aren't officially closed yet, all hope for me to maintain the last shred of dignity is lost, as the CBC has declared the winner by a landslide.

Here, by overwhelmingly popular demand, are some of the more traumatic moments of my short life.

Bee Dog Burns.
Pumpkin Burns. Cowboy Burns. Darth Basset. The power of the Force demands that you give me a treat!

Mr. Burns, I think you look stunning in your costumes and carry yourself with great dignity in spite of the nutty humans we love with. And I loved your YouTube video song too. I just hope MY human doesn't get any fresh ideas from reading your blog.

Oh - and I think your little person is adoreable too!
