Well the vacation is over. Newfoundland was an absolute blast. We all had lots of fun and saw many beautiful places.
En garde!
Oh what is this? Another spectacular scenic shot.
Spy the kids, if you can!
Check out this one!
Madeleine enjoying a "small" ice cream in Corner Brook.
Marble Mountain, rumours of vicious biting incident cannot be confirmed nor denied.
Verge sisters and Mirabelle. She was pretty darn happy for most of the trip.
Madeleine with a surprise water attack on Uncle George.
It's too bad Lorna and George didn't opt for the place with the decent patio view.
In Gros Morne National Park.
Super Papa can easily handle two wee ones.
Amazing sand reproduction of Madeleine, rope included.
In the Atlantic Ocean.
Yes, this beach is in Newfoundland. Don't tell anyone the secret.
Six month beach bum.
The world's biggest sandbox.
Did I mention that Mirabelle was almost always in a good mood?
But there were moments of quiet reflection. The water was cold, but that doesn't stop a determined three-year old.
Hitching a ride.
At the lighthouse with Flat Stanley.
Wavin' the flag.
I love this family shot.
Nothing to see here, move along folks.
Cuteness! Nana and Mirabelle aren't looking bad either.
The key to a successful night's sleep is to have as many babies with you as possible.
Mirabelle is her bed / time machine.
Paparazzi, alert! No pictures!
Newfoundland has sand beaches but did you know it also has a desert? Here's proof.
Next time you're in Newfoundland, get yourself to Woody Point. You can enjoy this view while having the world's second to best Cod-Au-Gratin. For the best, you'll have to beg Nana to make it for you.
The weather did us a huge favour and we had sunny days like this pretty much the whole week.
It was fun visiting with relatives as well. A special thanks to Pop for his hospitality. He cooks a mean breakfast.
Madeleine and her second cousin Lorne.
Pop's arm often provide some much needed comfort for M2.
Linda practices for Grand-parenthood.
In Newfoundland the no-fun lawyers haven't caused silly age limitations to be imposed on bowling, so this is Madeleine's first effort at the Sport of Kings.
She did more than okay. If I understand correctly, there is quite a career to be had with Women's five pin bowling, so it is looking like Mom and Dad are going to be on easy street with this gravy train!
And Mirabelle might just follow in her footsteps.
It was also fun to see Nan who is to be thanked for her endless supply of dolls and Disney Kinder Surprise Eggs.
Matching outfits were the only way to go on Mirabelle's sixth birthday.
Try the Onion Rings!
Still plenty of smiles in reserve.
Mmmm, beer.
With Papa.
Original gangsters. Believe dat.
Outdoor birthday cake!
If you haven't eaten Pop's Jiggs Dinner cooked outdoors, then you really haven't truly lived.
So marks the end of the great cross Canada adventure of 2011. It was a slice.
